Synopsis

Growing up in the Amazon rainforest, Autumn meets the rarest of friendships – she discovers a lost jaguar cub named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknown in New York City, she dreams for years of returning to the rainforest and her boyfriend. At 14, accustomed to city life, Autumn discovers that her childhood village is under threat from animal smugglers and decides that she must return to the Amazon with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s adorably clumsy biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to dissuade her from her reckless plan. Anja joins Autumn to reconnect with Hope and save her from those who would destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
